Happy Valentine's Day

Dear Hubby had to go out of town last night on business, but he returns this evening. We have no special plans to mark this, our 22nd, Valentine's Day together. We'll exchange cards. We may go out to dinner tomorrow evening though. He hinted that he may have gotten me a little something, even though we agreed not to exchange gifts today (esp. since my birthday is later in the month).

This is from Blogthings.com:

What does your Candy Heart say about you?

Your Candy Heart Says "Get Real"
You're a bit of a cynic when it comes to love. You don't lose your head, and hardly anyone penetrates your heart.
Your ideal Valentine's Day date: is all about the person you're seeing (with no mentions of v-day!)
Your flirting style: honest and even slightly sarcastic
What turns you off: romantic expectations and "greeting card" holidays
Why you're hot: you don't just play hard to get - you are hard to get

Happy Valentines Day!!

Thanks, shionge. He surprised me a bottle of wine (to share, of course) and take out Chinese food. We already had plans to dine out the following night. He's very annoyed at FTD and DHL, specifically, since the tulips and candy he ordered on Tuesday (which were supposed to be delivered yesterday) *still* haven't arrived. I'm not particularly bothered by it, but he understandably is.

Thanks, jen, I do read yours more often than I let on. Often, though, if someone else has already said what I was thinking, I usually don't bother. Like you, I'm working on my 'commenting' skills. :-)

Happy Valentine's Day Elle!

PS. Since I'm in insurance and we're not known for originality, I took the quiz and pasted it on my blog too...

What a sweet hubby you have. Too bad his gifts didn't get to you in time. I'm sure when they arrive you will enjoy.

I'll check it out, sue!

Thanks, nadine. They did arrive around 3pm on Friday (24 hours late). The chocolates were yummy (Godiva, my favorite) and the tulips are blooming nicely. I can't fault FTD - they seemed to package it nicely. The problem seemed to be with DHL (the delivery folks).
